SAILING ON LAC DE L’ACHIGAN

Sale of stickers :

The stickers will be available starting Monday, May 4, 2020, online, by phone at 450 563-2505, ext. 2231, or at the Lac de l’Achigan beach during opening hours. This service will be offered at the Centre des Loisirs only following the reopening of municipal offices.


Those who cannot take advantage of this service can download the boat registration form or come to the Recreation Department during opening hours, Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. as well as Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..

Tenants not domiciled in Saint-Hippolyte

Those who are not domiciled in Saint-Hippolyte but reside there as tenants under a lease for a period of at least three consecutive months must ask their landlord to present to the Leisure and Culture Department the following documents: copy of the residence lease, copy of the federal registration of the tenant's boat, proof of identity (driver's license), the boat registration form and the owner's certificate, all duly completed (also available at the Recreation Department).


Pick-up of the sticker:

The Municipality official will affix the sticker during the first descent of the year, after having validated the proof of residence and the title of ownership of the boat. If you do not have this document, you can request it here. An acknowledgment of receipt of your request may be used as proof.

Business hours :

From opening until May 31: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays | 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For the period from June 1 to June 19: 7 days | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For the period from June 20 to September 7: 7 days | 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For the period from September 8 to October 12: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays | 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For the period from October 13 to 31: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Washing boats (motorized or not)

Washing all boats is mandatory and must be carried out before each launching, with proof of receipt. A free first wash is included with the cost of purchasing a sticker. The additional cost is $20/wash.

Taxpayers living near Lac de l'Achigan who store their boat on their land can claim a washing exemption by completing the washing exemption certificate form provided for this purpose, and sending it to the water tax service. hobbies.

Important for all navigable lakes:

Bilge sponges are mandatory in motorized boats to protect the environment. Their use is a simple gesture to help reduce pollution in a lake. These sponges are used to absorb motor oil and gasoline that may end up in the bottom of the boat. A sponge lasts the entire summer season.


IMPORTANT: The stickers for Lac Bleu, Connelly and Écho do not give access to navigate on Lac de l’Achigan. If you plan to move your boat on Lac de l’Achigan, please purchase the appropriate sticker.
