General Annual Meeting 2016

The 2016 General Annual Meeting of APLA was held on June 18th, at Camp Bruchesi. The present members have endorsed the actions taken by the Board of Directors during the last year. In addition to the usual matters such as water quality monitoring and control of gulls, the priorities of APLA for the current year are the management of run-off waters, the inventory of aquatic plants and the control of the Japanese Knotweed on Saint-Hippolyte territory. New in 2016, to maximize the number of members and raise awareness among resident and users of lake L’Achigan toward the protection of environment, the membership of APLA is now free.  Furthermore, to enable us to continue our environmental mission, financial aid has been given to by the Municipality. Also, it must be stressed that we receive voluntary contributions of ours members, which are important in order to accomplish several actions of prevention, sensitivation and other. Members elected the following persons to the Board of Directors of the APLA: Sylvain Allaire, Patrick Émond, Jean-François Gareau, Johanne Gauthier, Yvan Gingras, Philippe Lemay, Georges Raymond, Érika Roy, Michel Roy, Hélène Savignac and Hugo Thériault-Viau.
